BMBA U14 Boys

For Boys Born in 2010 and 2011

We have entered a U14 Boy’s team into the Southern Basketball Association’s Autumn season. This season commences on Saturday the 4th of February.

Games for the U14 Boys competitions are played on Saturdays. Most games are played at the Sandringham Leisure Centre, but can be scheduled at other satellite venue.

Games are played at the Association’s at the following venues:

Sandringham Leisure Centre – 150 Tulip Street Cheltenham.

Parkdale Secondary College – 116 Warren Rd, Mordialloc

Mentone Girls Secondary College – 175 Balcombe Road, Mentone

NOTE 1: The vast majority of the games are played at the Sandringham Leisure Centre where 4 new courts are currently being added to the existing four-court facility. Once completed all games will be played there.

NOTE 2: When playing in a team you will be expected to participate in our BMBA “Basketball Plus Training” for the terms covered by this Autumn season. This is Term 1 & 2 of the 2023 school calendar. HOW TO REGISTER YOUR SON

You will need to register twice for this competition. Once for the Southern Basketball Association (SBA) and then for the BMBA. The SBA registration fee covers the Basketball Victoria fees and insurance, our registration fee covers the team registration fee and match fees charged by the SBA.

Southern Basketball Registration – Costs is $36.00

BMBA Registration – Cost is $135.00 but can be reduced to zero if you take advantage of our special offer below.

NOTE 1: Games are played at the Sandringham Leisure Centre and satelitte venues. Four new new courts are currently being added to the existing four-court facility. Once at the Leisure centre and once completed the vast majority of games will be played there.

SPECIAL OFFER: When registering for the BMBA you can pay for just the registration which costs $135.00 for the registration and then $500.00 for training in Terms 1 and 2. Alternatively, you can receive an early bird discount by paying $500.00 before the 18th of December and leave it at that, we will cover the registration fee for the season.

OTHER COSTS

UNIFORM: Of course, the purchase of a uniform is a necessity. So in your son’s first season at a minimum you will need to purchase a uniform comprising a singlet (reversible) and shorts. The cost for a quality uniform costs between $100.00 and $150.00. For the extra keen, there will also be polos, hoodies, socks, bags and tracksuit tops for purchase.

STADIUM ENTRY: There is a stadium entry charged by the SBA of $4.00 for spectators for junior matches. This can be reduced with the purchase of a stadium entry card, for further information n this CLICK HERE.

FINALS: If your son’s team makes finals, then for those games teams will have to cover their match fees on the day and pay the Stadium Door fee when entering the stadium. We hope that proves to be the case.,

BE ONE OF OUR FIRST!

There’s nothing like making a little history. That’s what you will be doing in registering your son for a BMBA Templar Warriors team.

They will be a part of the first-ever boy’s team to take the court under our banner of the BMBA and your son will then be a unique part of BMBA history.

On top of that, they will have the exciting opportunity to start their basketball journey supported by elite-level coaching and training. With the correct attitude, they will simply get better with every week.
