PLAYHQ SCREEN ON SATURDAYS AT DANDENONG

Step-by-Step Scoring Guide

(1) Select the Game: Choose the upcoming game from the list for your court.

(2) Confirm Lineups: Select Add or Edit for each team to view the lineup. Add registered players, adjust their jersey numbers if necessary, or use the Add Fill-in link if a player isn’t listed.

(3) Start the Game: Click the Start button to begin the period. The clock will automatically count down.

(4) Record Points and Fouls: Points and fouls can be logged in two ways:

                 (a)  Click the player’s name/number first, then select the point value (\(1, \$2,\) or \(\$3\)) or foul type.

                 (b)  Click the point value or foul first, then select the corresponding player.

(5) Manage Game Events: Pause and edit the clock, call timeouts, and make substitutions using the on-screen menus. If a mistake is made, use the Undo button or the Event Log to delete or alter a previous action.

(6) Finalise the Game: Pause the clock and select End Period or End Game from the top-left menu. A referee or game official will need to confirm the final scores. [12345]

Pro Tips for e-Scoring

Internet Connection: PlayHQ can function without an active Wi-Fi connection during the game. Just ensure you are online when you initially set up the scoring session and when you finalise it at the end.

Advanced Fouls: Tap the specific foul button to access advanced foul options (such as technical or unsportsmanlike fouls) and attribute them to the correct player. [123]

HOW TO SCORE WITH A FIBA SCORESHEET - FRIDAY NIGHTS

We use a FIBA scoresheet for our Friday night matches. These are important, online scoring does not always work, so a paper backup system is important to cover for this when it eventuates. This video gives a GREAT demonstration on how to fill out these scoresheets properly.

HOW TO USE A BLUE VANE CONTROL BOX - SATURDAYS & FRIDAY NIGHTS

The vast bulk of venues use the Blue Vane scoreboards. Fortunately, they are in use at both Stonnington Sports Centre and all the Dandenong venues. Here is a GREAT video on how to use the control box for showing timing, scoring, fouls and timeouts on the scoreboard.
