WHAT IF WE TOLD YOU THAT IF YOU BECAME A SPONSOR OF THE BMBA YOU WOULD HAVE THAT SPONSORSHIP RETURNED TO YOU, IN FULL, AFTER A TWENTY-FOUR MONTH PERIOD.
IN OTHER WORDS A FREE SPONSORSHIP
IF THAT INTERESTS YOU, THEN THIS PAGE WILL DETAIL EXACTLY HOW YOU CAN ACHIEVE THAT THROUGH THE BMBA SPONSOR INVESTOR INITIATIVE.
Once we enter into 2026, the BMBA will be entering an agreement that will see it using six courts at three different venues within the Stonnington LGA. The cost of this court hire is significant with court hire costs in 2025 anticipated to reached $90,000 per annum and rising in 2026 to a minimum of $120,000 per annum. Initially, we will run at a loss as we build up our junior participant numbers throughout 2025.
At the completion of 2025, it is anticipated that all our courts will be running at full capacity. At this point we will then start to see significant profit margins being delivered throughout 2026. To achieve this goal we need to cover court hire and associated costs throughout 2025.
To achieve the participation numbers to meet the above objectives, we are looking at three ways to market our training programs, basketball competitions and holiday camps to households and businesses within the Stonnington LGA and surrounding suburbs. These are: –
⇒ Social media advertising through Google ads and Meta ads.
⇒ Letterbox flyer delivery to every household within the City of Stonnington and surrounding suburbs.
⇒ Flyer delivery through every school for each student within the City of Stonnington and surrounding suburbs.
None of these methods is cheap, but they will ensure we attract enough participants to fill the spaces in the venues that will be operating out of in the City of Stonnington.
To put in place our coaching programs and competitions will require staff in coaches, referees and administrators along with development officers to conduct our school clinics for primary school students.
All of the above represents significant setup costs, which is why we require investors. The financial rewards when we establish the BMBA throughout these Stonnington venues though will be significant. This will take approximately twelve months to achieve. At that point, we will be generating a turnover of over one million dollars per year, while enjoying a $300,000.00 to $500,000.00 profit. To achieve this our goal is to secure a minimum of one hundred $1,000.00 business sponsor investors to assist us to cover the expenditure we will need to get to that point.
A business sponsor investor (BSI) is an original concept that we conceived when we were attempting to come up with solutions for investments to realise our business ambitions for our junior sporting programs and competitions.
A BSI is an investment for two years of a minimum of $1,000.00. At the completion of the two years, just like a normal investment, you will have that $1,000.00 returned to you. The return on that investment will be through our normal sponsorship arrangements that you would negotiate with us. Alternatively, they can include any one of the below business services, or we can simply negotiate a normal business investment with an ROI. This is a limited opportunity as once we have established our programs and competitions within our Stonnington venues, we won’t be requiring the same investment. At that point we will be transitioning to more normal sponsorship arrangements.
If your business would like to invest more than our $1,000.00 minimum to gain even more exposure, then of course we are happy to negotiate that with you. Just contact me via my details below to arrange a meeting to discuss further details.
This is your only window of opportunity to obtain what is effectively a FREE TWO-YEAR sponsorship with what will be one of the most exciting junior sporting organisations in Melbourne. This page provides you with the information you need, the ability to purchase a package and the information to arrange a meeting for a presentation from myself to cover any questions that you may have
Normally, when a business sponsors a sports club, it pays a designated amount in possibly different categories, such as Gold, Silver, and Bronze. For that amount, the business may get a sign on a wall, an oval fence, a badge on a uniform, or an ad in a newsletter. What a business may get in return can vary, but it’s not unfair to say that a business, especially a small one, may not get much back in return for that sponsorship.
So we have come up with a unique approach. While all of the above can still be negotiated, we have decided to ensure that not only all businesses can become sponsors but that we can guarantee a return on any monies provided. We do that by providing a selection of business services that you can choose from that cater to your budget.
So as a business, you can:
The BMBA has some amazing plans and ambitions for juniors and the sport of basketball. This includes spreading its feeder demographic across the Central East and Bayside suburbs of Melbourne. For businesses, this will mean an ever-expanding list of people to market their business services and products to.
As we expand our reach we will also be working to partner with even more businesses from business strips, shopping centres and industrial areas. Through the BMBA and our business service strategy businesses can lift their profile, while networking with other business owners and managers to inspire each other with fresh ideas and initiatives.

We will be covering our experiences in helping out businesses which for example, could include different management and marketing system software that you may be considering for your business. From content management to accounting software, we will be looking to establish these across different businesses and in doing so be able to provide you with feedback, reviews and recommendations as to what works best.
Through the community forum, we will be building a business directory as we visit different businesses in different LGA's and suburbs. Finally, you still have the opportunity to enjoy the sponsorship privileges of a fantastic junior sporting Association, Whether that is a stand-alone sponsorship or combined with any of our other services. Look to be a good corporate citizen and support youth in our community through sports while enjoying these business opportunities.
Bob has been involved in basketball since 1990 and in the IT industry since 1988. Through that time, Bob has built two Associations from the ground up, both of which grew to be the equivalent of a medium-sized company. The two Associations grew to such a size that they both employed numerous staff while serving thousands of families. Through that time Bob devised strategies through his IT strategies to build websites, conduct email campaigns and build social media platforms. In 2016 Bob founded his basketball academy where he could focus his efforts on training and developing juniors and building competitions.
He also branched out to provide services to other businesses in 2019 just before COVID-19 hit our shores he started the Community Forum Online newspaper.
Throughout the COVID-19 period, Bob chose to put this part of his business into hibernation while he rebuilt his basketball academy again once COVID restrictions began to lift. Now that he has secured court access at the magnificent Stonnington Sports Centre Bob is now in a position to also launch the Community Forum Online Newspaper with its various business services to complement his Junior Basketball Academy.
Bob designed this unique approach to acquiring business support for his sports academy as an alternative to the normal sponsorship arrangements which in many instances don’t see a return to business. So as a business owner and sports administrator, he has brought the best of both worlds together so that both organisations will benefit. You may well meet with Bob when he visits your business, or hear from him through our business newsletter.
As a part of your Business Sponsorship Investor package, you will also enjoy coverage in the Community Forum online newspaper, another business initiative developed by BMBA founder Bob Mann. The Community Forum Online Newspaper publishes stories and articles covering local businesses in particular, but also local sports clubs and various other community groups and organisations. Through this publication, we want to give businesses of all shapes and sizes the ability to grow their brand, share their stories, and through those shared stories inspire and educate business owners, managers and administrators about new ideas and initiatives to help grow and/or improve their business.
Through this online publication, businesses will be able to share their stories with wider audiences as they spread them to their respective client bases. Your business will have its stories shared and your business listed on the Community Forums website business index. This service alone can be worth thousands of dollars per annum, allowing businesses who take advantage of our BSI offer to obtain these services effectively at no cost over two years.
Email us at admin@bmba.net.au and we will arrange a meeting either in person or on the phone to discuss this in greater detail. aboutwith
We will visit your business, conduct an interview, take some photos and put together an article that will tell the background story of how it started, how you've built and grown it and what services and products you provide.
As we visit suburbs, every business that we visit that subscribes to our business newsletter is provided with a FREE listing on our directory. We also provide paid advertising spots for those who wish to promote their business in a stronger manner.
With a regular email newsletter published and distributed to our subscriber database, your story will be sent far and wide to other businesses, community groups and our BMBA support base.
In 2025 we will be growing our reach and our subscriber base each and every week as we grown our participant base. This will come as we grow our participant base through the BMBA and our client base through the Community Forum Online Newspaper.
