DRILLS, SKILLS, GAMES AND FUN EVERY SCHOOL HOLIDAYS.
We conduct holiday camps every school holidays.
For the upcoming January holidays we are running a new camp concept called the Twilight Holiday Camp.
Unlike other camps this camp will be conducted between 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm. This will give participants their whole day for other activities and make life easier parents to arrange transport to and from the Stadium.
Our camps are conducted along our training program structure but with a bit more fun and games involved. Participants must be a minimum age of 10 to register and must have the necessary powers of concentration to cope with three hours of training.
OUR STATE-OF-THE-ART VENUE.
We will be conducting this camp at the outstanding state-of-the-art venue at Stonnington Sports Centre. Within the sports centre sit the Margaret Connellan Stadium.
This is a four-court stadium with all the equipment and amenities to ensure a great environment for a great camp. Each court has amazing springleader backboards and rings, with each court outfitted with modern scoreboards and shot clocks. The stadium is outfitted with fans to counter hotter days. The venue has amazing changerooms and toilet facilities and also has a water fountain in the entrance hallway for the kids to be able to fill their water bottles to ensure they remain hydrated. Each courts flooring is outstanding and all courts have more than sufficient seating and run-off areas. There is also a Cafe available for participants to purchase food, drinks and snacks from.
In the unfortunate instance where first-aid is required the venue has the necessary facilities and staff to deal with it,
Finally, unlike past venues the centre has a landline for parents to call if required. All of this makes for a fantastic venue and environment for us to conduct an amaing camp.
CAMP STRUCTURE
Depending on the length of holidays and public holidays contained within them, our camps generally are conducted over three days between Tuesdays and Thursdays over two weeks. You can enrol your son/daughter in one week of camps or both. Our Days are broken up as below.

As indicated participants can be dropped off between 3:30pm & 4:00pm for a 4:00pm start and collected from 7:00pm. We have a 10 minute break between our afternoon and evening sessions and drink breaks will be provided during each of our sessions. It is reccomended that each camp participants brings along a nutricious snack that provide them with a boost of energy for the break between Sessions.
OUR COACHES
We source our coaches from open-age and older junior representative teams, Universities and Secondary Colleges.
They need to have played or coached at a high level. All camps are overseen and administered by our founder, Bob Mann who brings his 30 years of basketball knowledge into the holiday program.
On special occasions, we have import players from overseas on hand to conduct our camps.
All our coaches are prepared with training plans and are thoroughly prepared before conducting camps.
NEARBY ACTIVITIES
One of the great things about the Stonnington Sports Centre is the amenities and venues within it or nearby. These include
(1) Chadstone Shopping Centre, which is next door to the stadium. Drop off your kids and go shopping, see a film, or go to a restaurant for a meal. The options are endless.
(2) You also have the Cafe at the stadium itself. With large screens and plenty of power points, it’s a great place to set up a laptop to get some work done while enjoying a coffee and a bite to eat.
(3) Percy Trevaud Park sits right next door to the stadium. You can run, walk, sit, or take the dog for a run.
(4) If you are looking for some quiet away from bouncing balls then the Phoenix Library is just a short walk from the stadium and is open until 6:00 pm in the evening.
(5) For the extra keen, there is lawn bowls and tennis club that sit atop the Stonnington Sports Centre, along with a function are and a bar, where if open, you can get a meal, a drink and enjoy a chat
So as these sessions are only for three hours, compared to a full day camp, if you put some planning into it you can arrange plenty of great activities for yourself or the family, before, during or after the camp.
